Agrokor Signs Contract with Indigo for Deployment of Interactive Warehousing
31 Oct 2005
Indigo Software Ltd, The supply chain software specialist, has signed a new customer contract with Agrokor.
Agrokor Group is the biggest Croatian privately owned company with primary business operations consisting of production and distribution of food and beverages, as well as retail trade. Agrokor brands have become market leaders in Croatia, with respectable market shares of 74% for ice cream, 82% for mineral water, and 85% for margarine.
The combined Indigo solution will be integrated with their incumbent ERP solution System21 Aurora from Geac. Agrokor chose Indigo over rivals for their Zviezda oils and margarine business because Indigo understood the company’s business requirements and demonstrated how the product set was the best-fit to address their needs.
Mirko Laucis, IT Director, at Agrokor said: “Our new warehouse located in the industrial hub of Zagreb has recently been completed and with the increase capacity our existing systems were unable to provide the level of detail the business needs. Indigo clearly demonstrated the flexibility, power and ease-of-use of its Interactive Warehousing Solution, along with Purchased Goods Receiving, and how it could be set up and personalised to meet the specific requirements of our business. We are confident the software we have chosen will be flexible enough to meet all our requirements today, and support our future development plans.”
Eric Carter, Management Consultant at Indigo, commented: “We first met the Agrokor team at last years InForum a customer event run by Geac. We were invited over to Zagreb to explore the business challenges Agrokor face and, after an extensive evaluation process, were delighted to be chosen to pilot our solutions within the group of companies. Agrokor are one of the most successful companies of the former Yugoslavia and have presence in all of the former member states. They have an extremely diverse and interesting business that include farms, meat packing plants, ice cream and frozen foods, the Jamnica bottled water plants and of course the famous Konzum retailing giant.”
The system is planned to go-live Q1 2006.
