Agrokor selects Indigo's RealTime software, in a bid approaching £500k
08 Aug 2006
Durham UK, September 2006 – Indigo Software Ltd, the supply chain software specialist, today announced that Agrokor, the largest private company in Croatia and one of the top three in the former Yugoslavia has selected Indigo’s RealTime for Infor EPR System21 solution, in a software purchase worth 480k.
Since it was established almost 30 years ago, the Agrokor group, with its clear business vision, has grown from a small family business to become the leading food industry and retail group in the region, employing in excess of 20,000 people. The company has achieved an indisputable leading positions on the market of Croatia in all of its major businesses, with the group comprising among others Croatia’s largest producers of mineral water, ice cream, oil, margarines and mayonnaise and the retail chain Konzum.
Indigo first met the Agrokor team at the Infor Event, Inforum, during the autumn of 2004, after they expressed a desire to meet with the Infor Warehouse Management System (WMS) partner to discuss developing and enhancing their use of the existing ERP, Infor ERP System21. Implementing a WMS would allow them to move away from the existing paper based picking processes and adopt the latest technology in Radio Data Equipment to facilitate the overall logistics process.
To discuss the development of the project subsequent meetings were arranged with Indigo and a workshop was run for key operations personnel within Agrokor in conjunction with their ERP partner Infor.
RealTime has been developed not as an interfaced solution, but as integral module of Infor ERP System21, this provides levels of integration way beyond the scope of any third party WMS solution. This level of integration was key in the decision making process, with operatives immediately feeling at home with a familiar user interface, which will ensure its critical role in the overall success of the business.
Eric Carter, management consultant at Indigo
“The implementation of Interactive Warehousing within Agrokor will go far beyond the traditional stock control functions associated with most WMS. Key individuals will be making real business decisions based on accurate information. As the WMS forms part of the Infor System21 Aurora architecture, RealTime is truly at the heart of the supply chain and will provide Mission Critical and strategic data in an up to the minute environment.”
Following comprehensive process reviews Indigo were able to demonstrate the efficiency gains available, through the deployment of the RealTime automated data capture solution.
Agrokor will progressively implement RealTime for System21 across 20 sites within the next 2 years.
