Indigo Software announce RealTime Version 9

Durham, U.K. August, 2009

03 Aug 2009

Indigo today announce that RealTime V9 will be available from October 2009 and will include new functional enhancements, technology improvements and compliance with Aurora 2.3. This release will also include the convergence of the Apparel software variant, allowing Indigo to have a single go to market solution.

Version 9 of RealTime will work as standard with the following System21 versions: V3.5.2sp2 up to and including Aurora 2.3. Version 9 of RealTime has an OS400 pre-requisite of V5R2M0 or later.

The primary objective of the new packaging strategy started with V8 was to ensure that ALL Indigo customers will have access to the latest Version of RealTime and not be locked to the release of RealTime to match the release of System21 installed. Version 9 of RealTime will work as standard with the following System21 versions: V3.5.2sp2 up to and including Aurora 2.3. Version 9 of RealTime has an OS400 pre-requisite of V5R2M0 or later.

This investment by Indigo will ensure that all users of RealTime will be able to take advantage of Indigo’s latest release without the need to upgrade to the latest version/release of System21. For example, a RealTime user at S21 V3.5.2 SP4 will be able to upgrade directly to RealTime Version 9 without any other System21 pre-requisites.

Simon Parnaby Indigo Product Manager says “With the new packaging strategy, all users of RealTime, regardless of System21 version, will be able to implement the latest version of RealTime as it is available each year. For customers using a standard version of the software at V8 the technical upgrade to V9 could be as simple as applying a PTF and testing into live“.

Enhancements made to the RealTime software in version 9 also include Action Panel changes, Direct operational enquiries and a new Centralised Print Hub that allows routing of Indigo’s printed output in a more structured way.

Peter McLane Indigo Managing Director says “V9 will build on the success of the previous family of robust, secure modules for System21 and will provide our customers with a firm foundation on which to build their supply chains. The Apparel convergence goes one step further into simplifying Indigo’s product strategy into the future to the benefit of all our customers”.

In addition to the above, a number of enhancements have been made to the perpetual inventory, sales marshalling and manufacturing modules.
