AlfaMega Emporiki Move to Aurora with Indigo
12 Jun 2010
CAP division Alfa Mega Emporiki, Nicosia today
Stelios Papaxanthos, Finance Director says : “For over twelve years now we have used Infor’s System21, Its strengths have allowed us to grow into one of the islands most successful Hypermarket chains. Our It Infrastructure is based around a nucleus of data that is held in System21, as you can imagine we have tens of thousands of transactions in our EPOS systems that require interfacing into our ERP. We were faced last year with a clear choice on the future of our software platform.
We decided after a lot of consultation and internal discussions that we should stay with Infor’s System21 and move to their latest Aurora 2,3 platform.
In use System21 has been extremely robust and has always been there for our employees. The Iseries platform has been one of the most effective servers available for many years and this machine availability helped Aurora score very highly.
Any large scale software implementation is not without risk and I saw it as my job to protect AlfaMega from any potential disruption to the business”.
Eric Carter Managing Consultant for Indigo says “It was my great pleasure to work with CAP in Cyprus during the early part of the last decade. The guys have always had a real “Go for it” mentality and we were able to implement our Interactive warehouse management system into the logistics centre in record time. This system has proved over the last ten years to have provided an excellent return on the initial investment. Our newly strengthened System21 team will really enjoy the challenges in working in the jewel in the Mediterranean that is Cyprus
This upgrade to Aurora will put System21 right in the heart of the supply chain and will reap huge rewards to the team
The project is expected to kick off during the mid summer and have a potential Aurora Live implementation in Q1 2011
